Description
New in June 2021! We are delighted to announce our latest publication written specifically for newly diagnosed and veteran patients who are unsure what is causing their pain, what treatments would be the most effective, how to manage diet, flares and pain.
About The Book
IC 101: It's Not Just A Bladder Disease offers a new approach to the diagnosis and treatment of interstitial cystitis, bladder pain syndrome, hypersensitive bladder syndrome and chronic overlapping pain conditions. Recognizing that a "one treatment fits all approach" has failed millions, it introduces newly diagnosed and veteran patients to a new sub typing system that may help patients determine the actual cause of their symptoms. Patients who have had "normal" bladders for years will learn that structures outside of their bladder may be the actual source of their dysfunction. Patients with visible bladder wall irritation will learn the many potential, and preventable, triggers for bladder wall irritation and dysfunction.

The SELF HELP Bible
I would have given anything to have a resource as wonderful as IC101 to direct my patients. Patients suffering with pelvic pain need simple tools to help them get immediate relief. IC101 is THE SELF HELP BIBLE for pelvic and bladder and prostate pain. It is written with the passion, common sense, knowledge and experience that only an insider can show. I recommend this book without reservation to patients, family members and all providers of healthcare. - Dr. Martha Boone (June 2022)
The long and short of it is, "I love it".
As a long-time IC patient of 34 years, I have read and researched extensively over the years and have tried many different treatments/approaches. Thus, I wasn't sure how useful it would be for me. However, I really enjoyed reading through it to see what is new, what I had forgotten and what is no longer being done. The bladder subtypes are very interesting and I enjoy the exercises and stretching. It has been a good overview and refresher for me to bring me up to date. I now find that I'm going back to it over and over again to reference information especially when I'm having a flare up. It's like having a knowledgeable friend to turn to for guidance. I showed the book to my urologist to make him aware. I think that all IC/BPS sufferers, especially the newly diagnosed, will benefit from IC 101. Thank-you to you and your team for your ongoing efforts to bring information, education and support to the IC community. You are truly appreciated. - DBC (March 2022)
This book is quite an accomplishment
IC 101 is just what I needed to bring me up to date with some of the latest information on IC. It covers all the bases. I was not even aware of the pelvic floor or physical therapy for it until the PA I am working with mentioned it to me. The book has become a handy go-to guide for a lot of up-to-date information. It is well-written and easy to read. Topics of interest are easy to fine with the table of contents and the index or just paging through the book guided by the bold chapter titles and subject headings. The layout is very effective and the font is a good size. The spiral binding makes it easy to open the book flat for easy reading. The book would be a valuable tool to any newly diagnosed IC patient or a veteran one like me, a very young 83-year-old retired teacher
