Herbal Teas

Jill Osborne, ICN Founder IC bladders can be so sensitive to teas. Why? Most tea is very acidic. It's the acids that give it flavor. Despite popular belief, green and black teas can cause major IC flares because they are very high in acid. Similarly, many popular herbal tea blends (Sleepytime, etc.) are also bladder irritating, especially those that contain rose hips.

When exploring herbal teas, we recommend trying one herb at a time to make sure that your bladder can tolerate that herb, such as straight chamomile or peppermint. Our Stash teas line offers both the simple herbal teas as well as a selection of more complex, flavorful herbal blends that are perfect for the cool Fall and Winter months. During the holiday season, we also carry holiday teas!
