A Note From Jill - When I first built the ICN, it was little more than a volunteer effort and, wow, how we've grown. We've gone from serving ten patients to more than two million a year individual patients per month on our website, in our free support chats and our support forum. That doesn't include the phone calls and hundreds of emails we receive every week.

My original goal was to make the ICN a "free" website because, back in the early 1990's, we had to pay the "other" IC organization as much as $10 for a single article about IC. That out of pocket cost added up quickly and didn't seem to respect the fact that most patients were struggling to pay for prescriptions much less buy articles about IC. I thought, why not a free website?

That concept has worked beautifully for the more than 200,000 patients who use our site each month to receive support. But, as a money making vehicle, it sucks. Anyone who thinks that the ICN "profits" off of patients is ridiculous. It's free!

Where else can you talk with a national leader about a medical condition at no charge? Jill and the ICN team take about 200 emails and/or phone calls a day from patients in need, all at no charge!
