IC bladders can be so sensitive to teas. Why? Most tea is very acidic. It's the acids that give it flavor. Despite popular belief, green teas can cause major IC flares because they are very high in acid. Similarly, many popular herbal tea blends (Sleepytime, etc.) are also bladder irritating, especially those that contain rose hips and hibiscus.

When exploring herbal teas, we recommend trying one herb at a time to make sure that your bladder can tolerate that herb, such as straight chamomile or peppermint. Our Celestial Seasoning "Roastaroma" roasted carob tea is rich and offers a more complex, heartwarming flavor perfect for the cool Fall and Winter months.
